Music Community Lab presents an event exploring the intersection of music, education and technology.
Featuring talks and workshops from innovative practitioners, as well as open time for discussion, hacking, collaboration, and serendipity.
This event aims to offer a diverse range of perspectives on music education and cross-pollination of ideas across disciplines and institutions. We'll hear from special guests from all types of institutions and disciplines. Participants will likely include educators of all types, as well as students and self-guided learners with an interest in music and/or education. Music Community Lab participants typically include musicians, programmers, artists, educators, scientists, composers, hardware tinkerers, designers, musicologists, students, entrepreneurs and many more.

Join us for a evening of co-working! We want to create a space where creators can get together and create, with as little distraction as possible. Use this time to work on your own project, or find others in the community to collaborate with -- the rest is up to you.Bring laptops, headphones, instruments, mics -- just be mindful of those also working around you. We'll be in a co-working space, and there will be limited conference rooms available for use.All are welcome!

Music AccessAbility Hackathon is a day-long, non-competitive event celebrating and exploring new ways to increase access to music for people of all abilities.This event is part of the Monthly Music Hackathon series, where people with an interest in music and/or technology create new projects from scratch, develop them throughout ~6 hours, then perform or present them in a concert in the evening.We’re happy to collaborate with ReelAbilities Film Festival and NYU Ability Project (our generous hosts in Brooklyn) on this free event!
